Nominating Board Candidates for 2018
The nomination period for candidates to serve on the Desert Healthcare District Board of Directors is July 16 through August 10, with nomination materials available starting Monday, July 16.
Candidates can obtain nomination materials from the Riverside County Registrar of Voters, 2724 Gateway Drive, Riverside CA 92507. They also have the option of obtaining materials from the Desert Healthcare District Board clerk, Andrea Hayles, during business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at 1140 N. Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs CA 92262. Read the Candidate Handbook and see a sample application for further details.
Two of the five zones in the District's newly adopted map will be up for election in November. Board seats will be open in Zones 2 and 4.
Completed applications and accompanying materials, along with the required deposit, can be filed directly with the Registrar of Voters or through the District office.
Candidates are required to pay a deposit of $1,150 that covers the application cost.
All materials must be filed by 5 p.m. August 10 with the Registrar. Early filing is encouraged.
